Dr Jas Grewal is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of clinical experience, specialising in General Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. He currently works full-time within the NHS in Coventry and Warwickshire, alongside his private practice.
He has particular expertise in the assessment and treatment of Addiction and complex Mental Health presentations, including work with healthcare professionals. He has collaborated extensively with organisations such as the Sick Doctors Trust, Practitioner Health, and the British Doctors and Dentists Group.
Dr Grewal qualified in medicine from the Royal Free Hospital in 1993 and initially trained across a broad range of specialties including anaesthetics, paediatrics, and emergency medicine, before specialising in psychiatry. He became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2005 and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2008.
He is dual-listed on the General Medical Council Specialist Register in:
• General Adult Psychiatry
• Addiction Psychiatry
In addition to his medical training, Dr Grewal holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Open University and has completed further training in Existential Psychotherapy and Philosophy through Oxford University.
He is a member of the Society for the Study of Addiction, the Medical Council on Alcohol, and the Spirituality and Psychiatry Special Interest Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
He takes a thoughtful, individualised approach to care, combining medical expertise with an interest in psychological and existential aspects of mental health.
Dr Grewal is fully indemnified and maintains ongoing professional development through annual appraisal and GMC revalidation. He is recognised by major insurers including Bupa, Axa PPP, and WPA.
